Q. What type of classes will we learn to teach?
A. Some of the most sought-after Sit-and-Sew, Creative Machine Art Classes! Each year new and updated techniques will be taught using new products and offering contemporary ideas to take you beyond the actual project. These new classes will only be offered at designated locations throughout the U.S. A new curriculum will be offered each year. Don't miss your chance to obtain these exclusive teaching tools now!
Q. What sewing skill level do I need to have before taking Certification?
A. We recommend that you have some sewing experience and are comfortable using basic straight and zigzag stitches on your sewing machine.
Q. Do I need to bring a sewing machine and if so, what kind of machine?
A. You will bring your own sewing machine to the training. A basic straight stitch, zigzag machine can be used although built-in decorative stitches are a plus. Most importantly, bring a machine you are familiar with and know is in good working order. You may want to have it cleaned and serviced prior to coming to the training. There can be nothing more disappointing or frustrating when trying to learn new sewing techniques with a machine you don't know how to operate or one that won't cooperate! Be sure to bring along your machine instruction manual and accessories.
Q. What will I need to bring?
A. Sulky is providing the fabric and supplies to make each project. You will need to bring general sewing supplies listed below. (This list will be fine-tuned to include any specific needs and will be e-mailed to you long before class.)

Q. How do I ship my sewing machine?
A. It sounds pretty scary, if you've never done it. But thousands of sewing machines are shipped every day all over the country. Think about how your machine got to the store where you bought it. Dozens of machines are shipped in for teaching events all the time. It is a good idea to ship your machine in the box it came in, if you can. If you have saved all the packing materials, all the better. If not, you might want to ask your sewing machine dealer for a box for your specific machine, or one that would work. You can also "double box" it, by putting the original box in a second box. Many of the pack-and-ship and UPS shipping stores will do this packing for you. Be sure to insure it.
