The Ultimate Sulky Learning Experience

Creative Sewing, Quilting and Embellishment for Today!
IT'S TIME TO FOLLOW YOUR DREAM… Are you asking yourself, "Why would I want to become a Sulky Certified Teacher, NOW of all times?". Click here.).

Or, perhaps your dream is to just have a fun, 3-day get-away adventure with people who love sewing as much as you do. In either case, we can make your dream come true!
Don't miss the 2012+ fun and festivities! (2012 plus, because we continue the events into early 2013 in the "warmer climates" for the snowbirds and residents there.) We are planning for even more attendees at 20 locations throughout the USA, including TWO IN CANADA - and lots more fun!
More than NINE new projects are planned, each with several techniques. And ways to use the techniques beyond the actual presented project. Visit our website: www.sulky.com to see photos of the new projects as they become available.
PLUS…
THE information everyone has been asking for:
- How can I market and sell my own sewing creations or teaching skills?
- I am so confused about stabilizers…
There are so many choices, and I know they make all the difference for a finished,
professional look, but how do I know what to use where? Can't it be made simple?
It can and we will.
- AND… debuting the newest Sulky Stabilizers that will make you wonder how you ever
survived without them!
- ALSO… Introducing the 42 BRAND NEW colors of Sulky Cotton Blendables!
(NOW 126 MAGNIFICENT COLORS!)
PRESENTING all these fun, festive and creative projects: (Note… this is just a SNEAK PEEK so projects, fabrics, names and titles could be somewhat altered in the final presentation.):
- LIFE'S A BEACH!
Carol Ingram's beautiful landscapes have become the premier project in the last several Sulky Certified Teacher Training events. Her landscape designs consistently get the highest reviews from all the attendees! This year Carol will help us sail away to find our "serenity now"! Each landscape shows us different techniques and teaches us to develop our "artist's eye". With the perfect fabrics, and Carol's attention to detail, you can and will create a work of art that you will be proud to showcase. New, time-saving, detail-intense techniques.
- GADGETS-ON-THE-GO
All of our menfolk (husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, and friends) are hauling around (at the very least) a cell phone, and often I-Pods, I-Pads, MP-3 Players, Blackberries, GPS hand-helds, laptops, and all the cords and chargers that go with each. So Carol Ingram designed this Gadgets-on-the-Go masculine "man-sack" for her son-in-law, a UPS truck driver who ends up taking many techie things on the road with him each day. Already pre-embroidered for you with one of Carol's wonderful outline embroideries, this masculine suede tote will be a welcome organizing convenience for all the men in your life. And...imagine-it in bright, feminine colors, too! You will also get Carol's computerized embroidery design in all formats so you can teach this project or go home and make more! Carol's designs are part of the Sulky Embroidery Club (sulkyembclub.com).
- "SEW FABULOUS" MOUSEPAD
Everyone loves Loralie Harris' fabrics! We were lucky enough to get the very last of the "Sew Fabulous" line so that we could share it with you again this year! Nancy Sapin has engineered the cleverest of "Mouse Pads" using her famous cording techniques and Loralie's Sew Fabulous panel prints and the new Sulky PolyLite 60 wt. multi-color Thread! This is a quick, easy gift that can be tailored to anyone's whimsy. Easy to make in masculine fabrics, too, or with photo-fabric or scene prints. Nancy also shares a special 3-D floral flourish to add to her already adorable mouse pad.
- DECK THE WALLS - WINTER HOLIDAY WALLHANGING with a twist!
Each year we find the most adorable pre-printed panels often used for "cheater quilts", but there are lots more uses for these creative, artistic panels, too. We will show you how to use them to create unique art panels embellished with threads and techniques that will "shiver your timbers"! You'll be out to your favorite fabric stores hunting these panels up as soon as you leave the event! We used a holiday print by Northcott, which is part of their Stonehenge fabric collection. Once you learn the creative ways to embellish these simple panels, you will be collecting them and making all kinds of gifts and home-dec projects. There are juvenile prints, landscape prints, holiday prints, and more! New prints abound every year! Make your own "chenille panels" or soft quilts from dynamic prints, too!
- E-READER COVER OR NOTE-PAD COVER
The hottest new, affordable, electronic "toy" is the e-reader. We all know lots of people who are carrying them everywhere today. But even if you know a few "hold-outs" who refuse, this creative cover can also carry just a notepad. Carol Ingram has taken the beautiful Stonehenge fabric and embellished it with beautiful Sulky Holoshimmer™ Metallic Threads, added Prairie Points with Pizzazz. Lots of Prairie Point techniques and ideas for making Prairie Points quickly and in multiples! These are not your Grandma's Prairie Points. They have never been more fun or easy. Use them to finish quilts, too!
- HOTSY TOTSY ART-TO-WEAR
Designer Diane Bunker sent us a picture of her "artsy lady" and we fell in love with her. Diane created her as a bag, but we could see her as art-to-wear in lots of ways. Diane achieved much of her lady's beauty with paints, so with Diane's permission, we figured out a way to use Tsukineko Inks and fabrics and threads to make her more "ours". Bring a garment to put Hotsy Totsy on, or finish her as a one-of-a-kind bag your friends will envy! You will love her Sulky hair tassels! Visit Diane's website: www.dianebunker.com
- CUPCAKES FOR YOUR KITCHEN
Brighten up any kitchen with these lively, fun cupcake potholders. We fell in love with the bright, whimsical fabrics from "In the Beginning" at Quilt Market and had to share them with you with this creative gift idea. The perfect hostess gift from Fat Quarters!
- DIVA CLEVER CLUTCH - LAMINATES AND YOUR LIFESTYLE!
We've all been dying to try the new laminated fabric! We got ours from Riley Blake Fabrics, one of the hottest new fabric designers around. The days of the oilcloth tablecloth fabric are gone. These new laminated fabrics feel like silk and sew like butter. You are going to fall in love with laminates!
And… PAYING IT FORWARD:
- QUILTS OF VALOR PATRIOTIC TABLE-TOPPER
It is an honor to support the fabric companies and designers who have created beautiful Quilts of Valor support fabric. It is a joy to create this patriotic table-topper featuring these fabrics. But more than that, we have a duty to "Pay-it-Forward". The sewing industry has prospered in this difficult economic climate. Charities at home and nationwide have suffered. Many of us have turned to sewing and quilting for economy, practicality, gift making and community support. We hope we can encourage you and your friends in your local community to pay-it-forward and "Create for a Cause". Do what you can, where you are. Join or start a group that makes "Quilts of Valor" for our veterans. There can be no greater reward than seeing a veteran's eyes light up receiving your gift of love and gratitude.
Carol Ingram has taken the "Drunkard's Path" block and created this fun layout. You'll see lots of ways to use this traditional block, and be inspired by its history. There are hundreds of ways to cut and combine the block to create the most amazing quilts. If you only learned one quilt block, this one would keep you inspired and creative for years! We've embellished them with our red/white/blue threads and decorative stitches.
We are also proud to present you with a free, digitized computerized embroidery design from
www.advanced-embroidery-designs.com:
"Always Remember"...
that you can embroider and add to your patriotic creations.
The mission of the QOV Foundation is to cover ALL those service-members and veterans touched by war with Wartime Quilts called Quilts of Valor (QOV). This foundation is not about politics. It's about people.

HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY MARKET YOUR OWN CREATIVE PROJECTS
In this economy, a lot of us are using our sewing skills to save money by making clothing and gifts. Some of us are even hoping to sell some of our creative projects. But where do we start? How do we succeed? We'll show you ways to help you successfully market your projects and/or your teaching skills.
