| Ellen has been teaching professionally for over 25 years and has been a part of Speed Stitch/Sulky of America since 1988. She taught at several of the S.M.A.R.T. (Speed Stitch Machine Arts Retreat) events before becoming a Sulky Educator, teaching all of the "Sew Exciting Seminars". She is published in several of the "Concepts in Sulky" books. She also teaches sit and sew classes in tailoring, fitting, free-motion embroidery, expert cutwork, plus many other techniques.
When she is at home, she continues to run "Creative Sewing", a custom sewing and tailoring business, and "Sew What´s New", a line of her patterns. This enabled her to be at home raising five children, who are all grown now, and have blessed her with nine grandchildren. So now it´s Grammie (Ellen) and her constant companion, Cricket, a Brussels Griffon. Ellen says, "she likes to sleep on top of my feet when I´m sewing, and best of all...she loves me no matter what I weigh!" |
