Intro
1.
Select a vine design. Thread the top and bobbin with Sulky 40
wt. #2113 Variegated Light Greens. Using the open-toe applique foot,
stitch curving rows of vines over the Trellis Pattern, staying away
from the drawn lines which will be covered with Puffy. If a
computerized embroidery machine is not available, vines could be
stitched using free-motion techniques. |

2.
To make a flower, thread the top and bobbin with Sulky 40 wt.
#2117 Variegated Yellow. Select a zig-zag stitch with a width of 3.5
to 5.0. Lower feed dogs. Take five or six stitches in place, ending
with the needle on the end of the line where you wish the center of
the flower to be. Pivot, repeat, pivot, repeat until you have made 5
petals. Tie off.
Make as many flowers as you desire, using different stitch widths
to vary the look of the flowers. Tiny black seed beads could be added
to the centers with Sulky 40 wt. #1005 Black, or make a knot with
floss by hand. Another idea would be to add silk ribbon roses instead
of the daisies, or you could use a Button Sew-On Stitch to make the
petals of your flowers. |
